ᴱQ. mar- v. “to get ripe, come to ripeness, get ready, grow up, get mellow” (Category: Ready)

⚠️ᴱQ. mar-, v. “to get ripe, come to ripeness, get ready, grow up, get mellow” (Category: Ready)
ᴺQ. !malimarya- “to ripen, become ripe, mature [of plants], mellow [of alcohol]”

A verb appearing as ᴱQ. mar- in the Qenya Lexicon of the 1910s glossed “get ripe, come to ripeness, get ready, grow up, get mellow” based on the early root ᴱ√MARA¹ “ripe, yellow” (QL/59, 63). The untranslated phrase ᴱQ. yain tavárin lilyen marden from the late 1920s might contain a (3rd sg. fem) form of this verb (PE16/80), though it could mean something else [“dwell”?] in the phrase instead.

Neo-Quenya: For purposes of Neo-Quenya, I would replace this verb with ᴺQ. malimarya- “to ripen, become ripe, mature [of plants], mellow [of alcohol]”, an inceptive verb based on [ᴺQ.] malima “ripe”.
