G. haug adj. “low” (Category: Low)

A word appearing as G. haug “low” in the Gnomish Lexicon of the 1910s based on G. haw- “rest” that was also the basis for G. haus “bed” (GL/48).

Neo-Sindarin: Since ᴹ√KHAW “rest” survived in Tolkien’s later writings with derivatives like [N.] haust “bed”, I think ᴺS. haug “low” can be retained for purposes of Neo-Sindarin.
