ᴱQ. yanta- v. “to add to, enlarge, increase, augment” (Category: to Add, Increase)
A word appearing as ᴱQ. ’yanta- “enlarge, increase, add to” in the Qenya Lexicon of the 1910s under the early root ᴱ√YṆTṆ (QL/106). It was also mentioned in the contemporaneous Gnomish Lexicon as a cognate to G. intha- of similar meaning (GL/37). It appeared as yantya “add (to), to augment” in the English-Qenya Dictionary of the 1920s, but those entries were marked through (PE15/68-69).
Neo-Quenya: For purposes of Neo-Quenya, I retain ᴺQ. yanta- “to add to, enlarge, increase, augment” based on a Neo-Root ᴺ√GYANTA. If you subscribe to the sound change whereby gy became ly (as I used to do in earlier versions of this lexicon), its proper form might be lyanta-.
