ᴱQ. kóle n. “passivity, endurance, patience; a passive individual” (Category: Patience, Endurance)
A word appearing as ᴱQ. kōle in the Qenya Lexicon of the 1910s glossed “passivity, endurance, patience” and “passive ind[ividual]” under the early root ᴱ√KOHO “undergo, endure” (QL/47).
Neo-Quenya: The word ᴺQ. cólë “passivity, endurance, patience; a passive individual” might reconceived as a derivative of √KOL “bear”; compare Q. coloitë “capable of bearing, tolerant (of), enduring” (PE22/155). Helge Fauskanger used cóle for “patience” in his Neo-Quenya New Testament (NQNT). However, I would use cólë more generically as “*the act of bearing” [hence = “passivity, endurance, patience”] and “*one who bears” [= “a passive individual”]. For “patience” specifically I would use ᴺQ. cólemainë.
