A neologism for “pounce” = “jump (suddenly and forcefully)” coined by Luinyelle posted on 2025-08-22 in the Vinyë Lambengolmor Discord Server (VLDS), a combination of √AK “hostile return” and cap- “jump”. Tolkien specified that √AK was a Sindarin-only root, but I think accap- “pounce” can be retained as an intensified form of cap- “jump”.
