ᴱQ. no¹ adv. “then, next (of time); upon” (Category: After)
An adverb glossed “then, next (of time)” in the Qenya Lexicon of the 1910s under the early root ᴱ√NO(WO) “ahead, in front; after, of time” (QL/66-67). In the ᴱQ. Oilima Markirya from around 1930 it was used as a preposition in the phrase ᴱQ. lante no lanta-mindon “falling upon fallen towers”. In Tolkien’s later writings, nó meant “before (of time); at back (of place)”.
