ᴱQ. ie adv. “ago, †long ago” (Category: Past, Ago)

⚠️ᴱQ. ie, adv. “ago, †long ago” (Category: Past, Ago)
Q. né “ago, behind (earlier time); yes (it was so)”

A word appearing as ie or iye in the English-Qenya Dictionary of the 1920s glossed “ago” with a prefixal form ᴱQ. yú- (PE15/68), probably all based on some form the early root ᴱ√DYĒ “back (before of time)” (QL/105). Tolkien indicated ie was also used archaically (†) for “long ago”, but modern Qenya used ᴱQ. yúye “long ago”, a combination of yú- and ie (PE15/68).
