A word in the Qenya Lexicon of the 1910s glossed “fleeting, fading, temporary”, an adjectival form of ᴱQ. lukta “period” (QL/56). It was also glossed “lǽne”, which is an Old English word meaning “granted as a loan, not permanent, transitory, temporary, frail” according to the editors.
