ᴱQ. halta- v. “to leap” (Category: to Jump, Leap)

⚠️ᴱQ. halta-, v. “to leap” (Category: to Jump, Leap)
ᴹQ. cap- “to leap, [ᴱQ.] jump”

A verb in the Qenya Lexicon of the 1910s glossed “to leap” under the early root ᴱ√HALA (QL/39). In Tolkien’s later writings √KHAL instead meant “raise up” and was the basis for words like halla “tall” (PE17/184).
