ᴱQ. lopeta- v. “to amble, lop” (Category: to Walk)
A word in the Qenya Lexicon of the 1910s appearing as ᴱQ. lopeta- “amble, lop” under the early root ᴱ√LOPO having to doing with animals running (QL/56). The editors suggested that “lop” might refer to its OED meaning: “to droop; to move in a slouching manner”.
Neo-Quenya: I retain other verbs from this root such as ᴺQ. lop- “to gallop”, so I would keep ᴺQ. lopeta- “to amble” as well. Unlike lop- (used only of animals), I would assume that lopeta- could be use for a relaxed walk for both people and animals.
