G. mu¹ prep. “[?] flow; from” (Category: From, Away)
A word in the Gnomish Lexicon of the 1910s whose gloss may be “flow” or “from” according to the editors (GL/58). Above it Tolkien had a verb G. mútha- with glosses like “depart” and “go forward”. This verb might be based on mu, especially if mu means “from”.
