ᴱQ. kaivo i sapsanta “as a corpse into the grave”
The thirteenth phrase of the first version of the Oilima Markirya poem (MC/221). Its first word is kaivo “corpse” followed by the article i¹ “the” and the allative form of the noun sapsa “sapsa”.
Decomposition: Broken into its constituent elements, this phrase would be:
kaivo i sapsa-nta = “*corpse the grave-into”
Conceptual Development: This phrase appeared in the fourth draft of this poem with the nominative variant form kauvon for “corpse” (OM1d: PE16/62), switched to kaivo in the sixth draft (OM1f: PE16/74).
