Name of the fifth month of the year in the Westron calendar (LotR/1110) corresponding to “May” (PM/135). It seems to be an elaboration of loth “flower”, perhaps meaning “*Flowery-one”. It is also possible -ron is a reduced form of raun “moon” as suggested by David Salo (GS/363).
