A word for an “oakleaved beech” in the Gnomish Lexicon of the 1910s, a combination of G. deldron “beech” and grondolas “oakleaved” (GL/30, 42). On the page containing deldron Tolkien mispelled “beech” as “beach” (GL/30), while on the page containing grondolas he spelled the compound as deldrin grontholas (GL/42).
