Helge Fauskanger’s analysis of Tolkien’s Quenya translation of two Catholic prayers: Átaremma and Aia María. This article was first published in Tyalië Tyelelliéva 18, but is now available in a slightly updated form at the web address above. Fauskanger’s analysis only addresses the final versions of each prayer, and comes to different conclusions in a few cases than the analysis appearing in “Words of Joy” article appearing from VT43. I consulted both articles in my own analysis of these prayers.
