Adûnaic had three formal noun cases (SD/428):

• The normal-case: The default case used most of the time.
• The subjective case: Used (with some exceptions) for the subject of a sentence.
• The objective case: Used only in compounds, for the object of a verbal phrase.

The normal and subjective cases could be declined for all numbers (singular, dual and plural), but the objective case could only be used in the singular.
