A Vanyarin elf, beloved of Finrod, who did not go with him into exile (S/130). She is the reason he never married (WJ/44). In the “Grey Annals”, her name appeared with a long á: Amárië (WJ/44, 62, 67). The meaning of her name is unclear, but it might contain márië “goodness”.
