A word in the Gnomish Lexicon of the 1910s glossed “storey, floor (of a house)” (GL/71). It might be based on the early root ᴱ√TAKA “fix, fasten” (QL/88) with long [ā] becoming [ō]; compare to ᴱN. adob “building” from related ᴱ√TAQA. Hat-tip to Luinyelle for this suggestion.
