Another name for the city Gondolin appearing in The Etymologies from the 1930s, a combination the name for its people, the Gondothrim, with bár “home” (Ety/GOND).
Conceptual Development: It appeared as G. Gondothlimbar in the earliest Lost Tales (LT2/158), revised when G. -lim became N. -rim.
