A neologism for “to bind, restrain” coined by Paul Strack in 2023 specifically for Eldamo based on the root √KHAP of similar meaning (PE17/157). The Neo-Quenya Wiki instead used this word to mean “to retain, keep, detain” (PE17/68), but I prefer [ᴺQ.] hapya- for that purpose.
