Name of a Númenórean girl from Tolkien’s unfinished story “The Lost Road” (LR/59). In The Etymologies, the name was given as a compound of almare “blessedness” and (perhaps) -iel¹ “daughter” (Ety/GALA, EtyAC/AL).
