ᴱQ. Samírien pn. “Double Mirth”
Name of a festival in the earliest Lost Tales, glossed “[Years of] Double Mirth” (LT1/143). Christopher Tolkien suggested it might be a combination of the intensive prefix sa- with some derivative the root ᴱ√MIRI “smile” (LT1A/Samírien), perhaps an otherwise unattested noun mírien “mirth”.
