Ilk. initial [x-] became [h-]; [x-] > [h-]
In the Comparative Tables, an initial aspirate [kʰ] developed into [h] (PE19/18). This was also true when the aspirate developed from an initial [s]: ᴹ✶sk > [kʰ >] Ilk. h (PE19/20). There are several examples of this development in The Etymologies (see below).
